Wholesome food is a basic requirement of life. Quality and excellence in food supply should be the most important concern of all food processors with food safety the most important criteria of food quality. The lack of quality, especially in relation to food safety, can result in sickness or, in the most severe cases, death - when unsafe food is consumed. In addition to the critical attribute of safety other properties of food products are also used to define overall food quality. These attributes are defined by the producers, consumers and industry as a whole. An example would be the particle size of flour, the shape of a frankfurter or the color and flavor of a salad dressing.

As a first class professional company in the food industry AEC takes quality seriously and ensures all aspects of food safety and quality, as mentioned above, by following these steps:

  1. Qualified raw material

Only raw material that meets AEC product specifications and product standard is purchased. AEC inspectors test each batch of material at origin prior to delivery to AEC processing facilities.

  2. Supplier evaluation system and crop traceability

All suppliers are regularly audited by the purchasing, production and QA departments to ensure they achieve AEC quality standards. Those crops as grown by or contracted to AEC have full crop history and traceability. Our systems ensure we can trace every step from farm to client delivery.

  3. Good Manufacturing Practice

AEC’s Dalian plant was built in total compliance with GMP and HACCP requirements of both the food and pharmacy industries. The facility, machinery and in place systems are beyond the requirements of current international standards.

  4. HACCP procedures

HACCP procedures have been implemented and the plant has already achieved HACCP certification by Moody International as well as other certification such as Star-K Kosher, BCS organic growing, processing and other certification.

  5. Product analysis

The product is tested and analyzed throughout the manufacturing process from raw materials in, throughout the process to packaging. Results from all tests are recorded and records kept for all batches.

  6. Hygiene

A thorough hygiene program and applicable procedures have been implemented and strictly enforced.

  7. Laboratory Analysis

Products are evaluated by laboratory analysis for all aspects of quality to ensure that finished products achieve their physical and microbiology standards. Chemical characteristics such as pesticide residue, heavy metal content amongst others are also tested to ensure they achieved the required standards. These tests and analysis are carried out within our own laboratory and with two independent foreign owned and registered laboratories.
